Unique number, which is calculated from an amount of data. With the checksum, it can later be checked if the data is still correct. Stratesave adds a 32-bits checksum to every backed up PC-file. The checksum is generated with the modern CRC-method. During restoration or backup checks, errors detected by checksum will be displayed.
