Prior to using the backup program, the backup plan (macro) must be created with Macro Editor.
With command Load macro... in menu File, you can select the backup plan to be used. The default macro with the PC's network name is loaded automatically at start of backup program. From there on, the command Start backup in menu Action or function key is sufficient to start the backup.
Optionally, you can select the Backup period (daily, weekly, monthly, quartal, semester and yearly backups) with menu command or toolbar list.
Period Single Backup after time plan, which is selected by default, executes one backup according to defined backup plan. This is for example to start the backup at the end of working day. The backup program then determines from the backup plan and the backups already made, which period is next, and runs a backup. Scheduled backups after time plan is for repeated automatic backups as defined in backup plan. In this case the next backups to follow are shown in display window Next scheduled backups.
Please do not forget to initialize the tapes and removable disks, before they are used for backups.
