This wizard allows you to configure network during ASR disaster recovery, when the normal network configuration through control panel is not available.
Configure Adapter(s)
Configure your network adapter for TCP/IP, either to use DHCP or assign defined IP-address, subnet-mask,.defaultrouter and DNS server.
Define Account with Administrator rights
This will allow you to create a local account with administrator rights. If the account already exists, only the password will be set.
Set computer name as seen on network
Before full restore, set the computer name to same name as when backed up.
Restart Network Workstation services
This will restart the following network services: Browser, LanmanWorkstation.
You can then make network connections from this computer, and access data from a remote server.
Restart Network Server services
This will restart the following network services: Browser, LanmanWorkstation, LanmanServer, RemoteRegistry and set forceguest to 0.
You can then make network connections, and computer will be accessible from the network under administrative shares \\Computer\C$ etc. (protected by Administrator account and password).
After configuring Network, you can use Map Network drives.
