Max. size of backup to tape: Unlimited
Not all tape drives are supported. Fully supported are LTO, SCSI DAT, DLT, 8mm (including Mammoth,VXA). SCSI Travan drives are supported, but only one backup can be stored on every tape. Unsupported are OnStream drives. Non-SCSI drives, for which a Windows tape driver is installed, should work in principle, but they have not been extensively tested.
Extending backups over several tapes (multi volume backup) currently does not work with some tape drives. It works with LTO, SCSI DAT, DLT, Exabyte 8mm drives though.
Appending backups on tapes (=storing several backups on the same tape one behind the other) works with most, but not with all tape devices. It does not work with Travan, HP Collorado.
Unicode files backup: Stratesave is fully Unicode compatible, and supports backup of all files, directories and databases with international character names (e.g. Japanese, Chinese, Hebrew, etc.).
